Biography
Dr. Moroi graduated with a degree in fine arts from Tufts University in Boston, before pursuing a career in medicine. He is a fully board-certified family physician with a special interest in sports medicine.
Dr. Ito
Biography
Dr. Ito is a certified family physician. She was trained at the Shizuoka Family Medicine Program in collaboration with the University of Michigan. In 2020 she obtained her Master’s degree in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health at University College London.
She is passionate about encouraging everyone to safely enjoy exercise and sports.
Dr. Urara Nakagawa
Biography
She is a certified Primary Care Physician and Instructor by the Japan Primary Care Association, and holds numerous qualifications in fields such as internal medicine, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine. As an Associate Clinical Professor at Hokkaido University School of Medicine and the Head of the General Medicine Department at JR Sapporo Hospital, she is deeply involved in teaching and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. With a strong focus on primary care and general medicine, Dr. Urara is known for her exceptional skills and knowledge, providing high-quality healthcare tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Kono
Biography
After graduating from medical school, Dr Kono worked at a national hospital for eight years, gaining extensive experience in orthopedic cases ranging from trauma to chronic conditions like osteoarthritis. She has actively participated in numerous academic conferences both domestically and internationally. Drawn to Niseko, She now supports NIC during the winter season, focusing primarily on trauma cases.
Dr. Lupita Estrada
Biography
Certified General Practitioner with more than 15 years of clinical experience obtained in important public hospitals and private clinics in Mexico. 6 years of experience in foreign patient care.
Passionate about challenges, personal and professional improvement to provide her patients with quality medical care and great human warmth.
Ready to provide her services for second time this 2024-25 winter season at Niseko International Clinic.
Dr. Munro Moffat
Biography
Dr. Munro Moffat is a skilled medical doctor with a focus on family and emergency medicine. He recently ran a health center in Gambia, where he managed outpatients and emergency cases. His diverse experience includes working in Zambia and with search and rescue teams, and he has a strong interest in global health. Dr. Moffat is excited to bring his skills to Niseko International Clinic, where he looks forward to contributing and embracing Japanese culture with his family.
Dr. Takeda
Biography
Dr. Takeda, currently based in Guam, is a board-certified emergency physicia with over a decade of clinical experience across Japan, the United States, and China. He completed seven years of medical training in Japan followed by emergency medicine residency in the U.S. Having worked in diverse settings, including urban hospitals and rural areas, he is bringing a global perspective to emergency care in Neseko.
