A significant revision of medical fees will be implemented from June 1, 2024.
The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare requires the abolition of the “Specific Disease Management Fee” previously applied to patients with lifestyle diseases (diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia). Instead, there will be a shift to the “Lifestyle Disease Management Fee,” which aims for more proactive and comprehensive treatment management based on personalized treatment plans that do not rely solely on medication.
From now on, it will be necessary to create the government-designated “Lifestyle Disease Treatment Plan” and share the achievement goals with all patients. Your cooperation in signing the treatment plan will be greatly appreciated.
